Laugh It Off
As a child whenever Joel Geist was asked what he wanted to do when he grew up he would reply "Anything from Acting to Directing to fetching the coffee, so long as I'm on set".
In the year 2000 Joel graduated from high school as Valedictorian but decided to skip college and move directly to Los Angeles so he could dive headlong into the "coffee fetching" portion of this three part plan. He spent the next several years perfecting his caffeinated craft everywhere from Beverly Hills to Beachwood Canyon but soon realized that no matter how perfect his milk foam became Spielberg just wasn't calling.
Fortunately, Joel had also spent much of his free time working in many creative and technical facets behind the camera and acting in projects ranging from children's theater to "CSI:NY" and was pleasantly surprised to find that these were the skills he should have been putting on his resume the whole time. |
